Goats Milk Is Good for You!

!±8± Goats Milk Is Good for You!

Would you believe it --- the smelly goat dairy products is now a hot favorite in the Western world Sales of butter derived from goat milk are up by 31%, milk by 28%, yoghurt by 23% cheese by 16%, according to a report carried in Western Mail (Cardiff, Wales), recently. Retail analysts Taylor Nelson Sofres say the total UK goat dairy market grew by 16% over the last 12 months and was worth pounds 32.3m in October this year. And why not, when people are gradually beginning to realize that goat's milk is lower in fat and much easier to digest than cow's milk (microscopic studies have shown that the average size of fat globule in goat's milk is only about 1/3 than that present in cow milk) hence is extremely healthy for both young and old but especially those who are allergic to cow's milk. Interestingly, among all the animal milks suitable for human consumption, only cow and goat milk have been discovered to be nutritionally close to human milk. Indeed, goat milk protein forms smaller and finer curd and has more than double the typical amount of medium chain triglyceride (MCT) found in cow milk. In some studies, it has been found to cure eczema in children.

Goat's milk also has higher concentration of Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), a naturally occurring ingredient in breast milk that is very essential for gut and cell development and recovery. Sweden studies have shown that cow's milk was a major cause of colic, in 12-30% formula fed, less than three months old infants. In other babies, the incidence was approximately 20%. Chinese Medical Encyclopedia maintains that goat's milk is good for lung, stomach, and intestine. Western Clinical studies have also co-related these benefits to high concentration of EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor). Meanwhile, an enzyme known as Platelet Activating Factor Acetyl Hydrolase, which can break down allergen, has also been isolated from goat milk, during research.

Goat's milk also comes loaded with natural bioactive factors such as nucleotides; taurine and polyamine, which help strengthen the immune system. Absorption of calcium, iron, copper and zinc is also higher in goat than cow and offers a natural immunity against cough, phlegm, and indigestion. Research indicates that asthma in children asthma improves after a few months of taking it. Unlike the multivitamin tablets, which should only be taken 1 to 2 tablets a day, a child can safely pop in up to 10 Karihome goat milk sweeties per time, one to three times a day. There can be no better nutrition supplement for fussy eaters.
